The Rite of Baptism for children

Baptism Information

We are honored that you are considering the Sacrament of Baptism for your child. Please review the requirements below before scheduling a baptism.

Requirements for Baptism

To baptize your child at St. Olaf's or St. Cecilia's, the following requirements must be completed:

• The child must be under 7 years of age.
• The child must be unbaptized.
• A state, county, or country-issued birth certificate is required.
• At least one Godparent is required.
• If there are two Godparents, there must be one male and one female.
• Godparents must meet the requirements of the Catholic Church to serve in this role.
• Parents and Godparents must attend a Baptism Preparation Class.
• Parents must be registered parishioners of St. Olaf's or St. Cecilia's.
• All requirements must be completed before a Baptism can be scheduled.

Baptism Celebrations

At St. Olaf's, the Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on selected Saturdays at 11:00 AM, approximately once every three months.

Baptism Preparation Classes

Attendance at a Baptism Preparation Class is required for parents and Godparents.

Time: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
