Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

Why be Catholic? That’s not easy to answer. It’s a new relationship with God and a Church that needs to be experienced to be explained. You can explore the mystery through the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) Catechumenate Period, the Period of Enlightenment, Easter Vigil and finally the Mystogogy Period. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 — 8:30 pm in the Religious Education building. It is a time for fellowship, fun, serious discussion and study.

Sessions Include:

Through the year there are specialtimes of reflection and transition. These include Retreats and Liturgical Riteswhich help on your journey of faith. The RCIA team and a personal sponsor are there for you all along the way. Easter Vigil is traditionally the time to be received fully initiated into our faith. The Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation will be administered at this time.

RCIA Adapted for Children

Your family can join the Church too!  We have a companion process for children which helps them become familiar with Jesus and the traditions of the Church. This process has a special team who know children’s needs and like to help them grow in their faith. The format is adapted to fit each child’s current level of religious understanding. If you wish to inquire, or want more information regarding our RCIA program, please call Kim Bennett.
